The Special Weekend

The weekend was special. Of course, a lot of eating was involved. But the highlight would have to be the gorgeous dark chocolate cake with gooey, dark chocolate icing (or frosting) and bits of butterscotch in it. Sigh, it was pure heaven! 

There was also the lunch at the 'Trilogy' restaurant (the Andheri branch of Goa Portuguesa, Culture Curry and Diva Maharashtracha). Ambolis and jowar bhakris with piping hot Goan Prawn Curry and crisp, fried Malwani Rawas. It was sublime, really. The only dampener was the Margarita that had been ordered for the birthday girl. It was horrible. The staff was asked to re-mix the drink four times but it was apparently an impossible task.  A Sol Kadi would've been a better choice. So, a wise word of caution to the connoisseurs: Please stick to beers and hard liquor at this restaurant. They do not know how to mix drinks well.

And no, I didn't get to try the Bharleli Wangi even this time. Blame my companions at the time who vetoed my choice of anything bordering on 'vegetarian'.
