Chicken Stroganoff

So now that I have waited for so long to post this, I don't have the picture I took of the plated result anymore (it was a pretty picture too!)

Make a mix of flour, thyme, salt, pepper,  chilli flakes, and chilli powder. Coat chicken pieces well. Fry in butter and olive oil until done. Keep aside.

In the same pan, add more oil and butter.  Add finely diced onions.  Saute until soft and beginning to brown.

Add finely diced mushrooms,  salt and pepper. Keep cooking until the mushrooms start getting browned.

Add a tbsp green bell pepper finely diced and 1 tbsp yellow  and red bell pepper finely diced. Saute for a minute. Add fried chicken and continue to saute.

Add 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce and chicken stock. Bring to boil. Add a tbsp of remaining dry flour rub to the boil. Keep cooking until the liquid thickens.

Add red wine vinegar, sriracha and mustard sauces. Add 1 tbsp of spring onion; tbsp of green bell pepper and tbsp of mixed red and yellow peppers. Keep cooking for a minute. Add sour cream or hung curds.

Take off heat. Ready to serve with butter rice, egg noodles or toast.

Oh so I found that picture in the deep recesses of my computer. Hope you like it.
